2025 January Repair Cafe Kansas City

Repair Café

We throw away a lot of stuff, often because it’s cheaper to replace rather than repair them or we just don’t know how to fix it. That’s where Repair Cafés come in!

Re.Use.Full is excited to announce that we’ll be hosting our next Repair Café in Kansas City, MO, on January 25, 2025.

Together with our volunteers, you can have your broken items repaired instead of tossing them.
We’ll be doing fixes for items such as:
  • Bikes
  • Clothing/textiles
  • Computers (Virus/malware removal, file transfers, other basic repairs)
  • Jewelry
  • Lamps
  • Small appliances (e.g., replacing cords on handmixers, toasters, irons, etc.)

If you’re someone who enjoys tinkering or problem-solving to get something working again, we’re looking for volunteers! Sign up to volunteer here.

If you have surplus tools, such as screwdrivers, hammers, clamps, pliers, wrenches, drills and soldering equipment, lying around taking up space, donate them to Re.Use.Full to use at upcoming Repair Cafés! Contact us to arrange for your donation.

This Repair Café is being made possible in part by funding from MARC Solid Waste Management District and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

Two questions: One, is there an upcoming date for a repair cafe ? (I’d like to volunteer) And Two, is there a repair cafe in Lawrence?

Hi Jeff, we have several repair cafes coming up! You can find them at https://reusefull.org/repair-cafes/

I will have Leslie get in touch with you about Lawrence. To my knowledge, there isn’t, but I dont’ know everything!

    Good afternoon, Gentle People!

I applaud and support this effort.

I recently retired after 42 years as an environmental engineer at the United States Environmental Protection Agency. One of the matters I worked on at a national scale included the repair cafes and national policy on sustainability.

I respectfully have some ideas that I’d like y’all to consider. I’m also willing to volunteer for current activities as well as the content I’m suggesting.

May I please meet with appropriate personnel at a mutually convenient time?

I regret I am not able to volunteer at this week’s Cafe.
