DESCRIPTION:\nWe throw away a lot of stuff, often because it’s cheaper to replace rather than repair it or we just don’t know how to fix it.\nThat’s where Repair Cafés come in! Together with our volunteers, you can have your broken items repaired instead of tossing them.* We’ll be doing fixes for items such as:\n\nBikes\nClothing/textiles (no alterations, please)\nComputers (Virus/malware removal, file transfers, other basic repairs)\nElectronics\nJewelry\nLamps\nSmall appliances (e.g., replacing cords on handmixers, toasters, irons, etc.)\n\n\n*Limit of 1 item per repair category and 3 items total per turn. Stay for additional turns if volunteers are available to help.\n\nWe’ll also have another clothing swap where you can bring your clothing to trade with others–spruce up your closet the sustainable way!\n\n\nBicycle Drive\nThe Johnson County Christmas Bureau will be on site collecting donated bicycles.\n\nGet Involved\n\nIf you’re someone who enjoys tinkering or problem-solving to get something working again or loves to organize, we’re looking for volunteers!
